Waiting Can be Hard

Crib, by Erika Wittleib

Dear Son,

So, the “sweep” procedure didn’t get you to come early.  We find ourselves, that is Me, your mother, your Grammie and your Grampa, waiting to see when you’ll choose to arrive with baited breath.

I had a long talk, mostly along the same lines as what many of these letters contain with your Grampa as we waited for Mom and Grammie to come home from errands.

Being a dad is going to be a challenge, and one I am looking forward to.  Waiting for it to start can be really taxing, and I have always been really bad at waiting.

(Just wait ’till you see me at Christmas… neither of us will get any sleep.)
